Spotter rules - AI Engine
Thank you for helping as a spotter. Please follow these rules on every check.
- Public spots only. Take photos only from places open to the public, like a sidewalk or a public street.
- No trespassing. Never go onto private land, past a gate, fence or "No entry" sign, or into a building without clear public access.
- Stay safe. Never take risks for a photo. Do not use your phone while driving. If a place feels unsafe, leave and skip the check.
- Respect people. Do not photograph people on purpose. Do not follow, bother or talk about anyone in the photos.
- Faces and plates. Avoid faces and license plates when you can. Solid Cloud AI blurs faces and plates before a buyer sees a photo, where technically possible. You do not need to blur them yourself.
- Original photos only. Send only photos you took yourself, at the place, for that request. No old photos, screenshots, edits, filters or AI-made images.
- One-time code. Each job has a one-time code. Write it by hand on paper and hold it up in your first photo.
- Be honest. Send the photos when and where the request asks. Do not fake time or place data.
- Keep it private. Use request details and photos only for the check. Do not post or share them.
- Follow the law. Follow all local laws and posted rules.
- If asked to leave, leave. If a property owner or staff asks you to stop, stop and go.
Breaking these rules can mean no pay for that check and closing your spotter account.
Spotter contractor terms
These terms are between you and Solid Cloud AI, LLC, a North Carolina company ("Solid Cloud AI", "we").
1. Independent contractor
- You are an independent contractor, not an employee, partner or agent of Solid Cloud AI.
- You choose if, when and which checks to accept. You may say no to any request.
- You use your own phone, transport and tools, and you pay your own costs.
- You are not owed employee benefits.
2. Pay per check
- You are paid per finished check that is verified by our photo check and follows the spotter rules.
- The pay for each check shows before you accept it.
- After a check is verified, we hold pay for 48 hours for buyer questions, then pay weekly on Friday to the payout method you give us.
- A check that is not verified by the photo check or breaks the rules may not be paid. If a check is not verified, we tell you why by email. You can ask for a review by emailing support@solidcloud.ai within 14 days. We review it and reply by email.
3. Taxes
You are responsible for your own taxes. We ask for a W-9 form before your first payout and send tax forms, such as a 1099, when the law requires.
4. Photos
- You confirm each photo is your own original work, taken at the place for that request.
- Solid Cloud AI, LLC owns the photos you send for a request as soon as they are sent. Photos from unpaid or not verified checks are never given to buyers or sold, and stay private.
- We keep photos, including the original files with location data, as long as needed for our business and legal purposes. Originals are stored privately and are never shown to buyers. Personal info in them (faces, license plates, names, emails, phone numbers) is deleted on request, as the Privacy page says.
- Your photos include location (GPS) data. We collect it to verify the job, keep it privately, and never sell it.
5. Conduct
You agree to follow the spotter rules above every time.
6. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older and legally allowed to do this work where you are. We may ask you to confirm your identity before your first paid check.
7. Your safety and risk
You are responsible for your own safety and for following the law while doing checks. We do not provide insurance for you, your vehicle or your phone; you are responsible for your own insurance.
8. Your data
We handle your data as the Privacy page says, including the California privacy rights section. We contact spotters by email, phone, or text (texts only if you opt in). Reply STOP to quit, HELP for help.
9. Ending the agreement
Either side may end this agreement at any time. We pay for finished checks that were verified before it ended.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. We will email you at least 30 days before important changes to these terms start.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, where Solid Cloud AI, LLC is registered. Nothing here limits rights your state's laws give you. If you have a problem, email support@solidcloud.ai first and we will try to fix it within 30 days. If we cannot, either side may bring the dispute in the state or federal courts of North Carolina, or in your local small claims court.
